It's a beautiful instrument. The scalloped fretboard is amazing, and everything on the guitar looks and feels lovingly designed and built. Even the selection of different thicknesses of plectrum was extremely thoughtful and professional. Your company is evidently committed to quality and attention to detail, and that's great to see.

I love the beauty of the natural-finish Swamp ash wood, the curves, the accessibility of the upper frets, and the touch of the Tung-finished neck. It plays great. I couldn’t ask for a better guitar.

The minimalist aesthetic is very pleasing, pickups are great with a nice range, sound is great, most of all it inspires me to keep going/relearning guitar because large fingers can be a real challenge. I had an old strat---this is much lighter and way easier to play, I'd pick it over the strat anyday. Workmanship, finish, attention to detail, packaging all first-rate. Finally, all my notes ring out!

The guitar is absolutely beautiful and is truly a work of art. It sounds amazing and has an amazing tone. I’m overwhelmed by the sheer majesty of the instrument.

I love the way that one sounds and plays. Both pickups together are great too. When I first played it, the neck sounded louder than the bridge pickup, which I expected, and I lowered the neck pickup to compensate, and now it is perfect. The guitar feels great, the weight is perfect, the contours are nice and it feels wonderful in my hands.

Took over 2 years with minimal updates from the company. On one of the multiple times I had to chase them up, I was told they had to start from scratch because of a change in law to do with rosewood and they damaged the body trying to remove some parts. Needless to say I was not impressed that the only reason I found this out was when I was chasing them for an update because they were already 3 months overdue from the last time they had pushed back my order (sounds confusing? Imagine how I felt having to deal with these guys) . I wouldn't recommend Halo. Personally, I felt they were abusing the fact I was ordering from outside the US. Ending on a positive though, when the guitar eventually arrived it was very good.

It's beautifully made - even Arnold would be hard-pushed to find any issues. The build quality is easily on par with the best I've seen, and somewhat better than the average Gibson. I have big hands and fat fingers, so I'd been on the lookout for guitars with wider-than-standard necks for a while.

Playing-wise, it took a me a while to adjust to the super-wide neck and particularly the wider string spacing at the bridge. I might have to lower the action a trifle once it's settled in and - in an ideal world - I think I would have preferred a slightly fatter neck carve. But once I got used to it - wow!

Plugged straight into a single ended non-MV tube amp, it sounds stupendous. The tone is huge. There's an endless range of sounds from those BK Blackhawks - anything from sparkly clean single-coil jangle or shimmer to searing or thick saturated overdrive on the bridge and front p/ups, respectively. The sustain is superb. Chords ring out forever and it just sings on the higher frets. Like the very best of guitars, single notes bloom and last indefinitely with a touch of vibrato. And, as I'd expect from BK p/ups, note definition is excellent, even on heavy overdrive, and it cleans up beautifully from the guitar and responds well to picking dynamics.

So, to summarize my first impressions - it's up there with best guitar I've ever owned (a Gibson Les Paul Heritage Series Standard 80 Elite, to give it its wondrous full name) for tonal complexity and sustain - and far better in terms of versatility. I have a feeling the Halo is going to become my Number 1 instrument.

Give Halo a shot you will not question it. The build quality, playability and customer service is top notch. I just purchased my second one after having the Merus for only 1 day

I ordered an Octavia WIDE NECK (50 mm) Halo guitar, and I really love it. After playing it for only a short time I realized that having an electric guitar with a neck with identical specs as a classical guitar opens up a vast number of possibilities not before possible. It’s the only electric guitar I‘ve ever played that I am comfortable finger picking as well as playing with a pick. And because of the shape of the guitar I can play it seated like a classical guitar, but it is also nice to play standing up. The guitar is amazing in its craftsmanship, very easy to play with its low action, and is beautiful to look at.

It’s a no-nonsense guitar built to be light and strong. A simple design without too many bells & whistles let’s you just focus on picking it up and playing. The intonation all the way up the neck is unlike any other guitar I have personally owned and I love having two full octaves to play with. Since I don’t have to worry about keeping it in tune, my practice/writing is less interrupted. Also the tone is great with or without distortion. I’m fully satisfied with this purchase

Incredible looking and sounding guitar. Halo has done a great job with this whole model. The Evertune bridge is amazing; it was in perfect tuning right out of the shipping box. Smooth neck, super playable, no complaints!

They are absolute knock outs; It's been a while since I've played steel-string guitar, so it's a matter of acclimatization -- but the wider necks certainly help!

I bought an 8 string Seraphim a few years back and absolutely love the thing! Very impressed with the build quality and it's performance in my home studio.

The guitar is a BEAST, great for both rhythm and lead work. Guitar feels great to play and its 27-inch scale length with the Evertune bridge provides perfect intonation even on the low F# string. Fishman pickups provide crushing tones, breeze to recharge with built-in USB charging port. Jeff was great in suggesting additional improvements I didn't initially think about.
