I got a custom merus-style 8 string and I love it to death. Build quality is perfect, electronics perfect, sounds perfect. They were super helpful throughout the process and were in communication with me the whole time. I got custom pickups from halo: 8 string fanned fret pickups designed to mimic the SD pegasus/sentient combo- the sound is dead on. Have had the guitar for nearly a year now, and it inspires me to play every day. Best money I've ever spent

I've been playing guitar about 25 years(wow has it been that long?!) I worked in a music store for about a decade where I played everything from garbage squires to Ibanez Prestige to high end fender, gibson etc. Everything from $99 garbage to many thousands of dollars guitars. There have been a few that stand out in my memory as truly exceptional. One was a $5500 Suhr. When I played it, I was convinced I'd never find a better playing guitar. The neck was so fast and comfortable, I almost bought it on the spot, but I held back. When my Halo arrived... and I unpacked it, strummed it a few times, adjusted it to meet my specifications, I truly marveled at the craftsmanship and precision. Specifically, the neck and fret board.

When I ordered the instrument I mentioned to Jeff Lee that I wanted an Ibanez wizard style neck feel. He delivered. I expected perfect fret ends, ebony free of any tool marks. Halo delivered. I don't want to over sell this guitar, because frankly I'm in love with it, but this neck, after all of these years is the most comfortable, fastest playing neck I've ever laid my hands on.

On top of that it's paired with the Evertune bridge, which far exceeded my expectations. YOU CAN PRECISELY TUNE THE PITCH BENDING RESPONSE OF *** EACH INDIVIDUAL STRING *****. For anyone who plays drop-tuned or extended range, you know how important it is for those low notes not to be affected by finger pressure when you're recording. You also know how inconvenient it would be to have to set things up every time you want to switch between no-bending and lead style where you want to allow for bending. This bridge can do both at once since each string has it's own configuration. It's very intuitive to setup, and impossibly stable.

Every detail that was in the spec sheet was delivered, right down to the knobs I personally selected. Pickup routing is clean, any joints, seams, contact points are all flush and clean. The finish is absolutely beautiful to look at and inspires me to pick it up when I see it sitting on the stand.

Now, I'm not going to say that my experience with Halo was perfect, the instrument, however, is free of any flaws. No blemishes or dings and it plays and sounds exceptionally good. Where Halo fell short was in the timeline. If you want a VERY well build instrument, built to your specification, at a very reasonable price, you are going to have to be patient. In the end though, I'm glad I was.

I'm going to give Halo my "Gold standard seal of recommendation and approval". If you want a guitar customized and built specifically to your tastes and needs, Halo will get it to you. But it will take time. In the end you'll be glad you waited.

I ordered a 7-string Salvus and it has met or exceeded all expectations. It is an outstanding instrument that's very hard to put down. Hard to say how Halo can improve. Two months after my order was placed, the COVID-19 pandemic arrived. So the entire project of building my guitar was done under abnormal circumstances.

The two features that brought me back was (1) the ability to provide a 1.875" nut width and (2) the zero-fret nut. The quality and workmanship also was flawless and setup was excellent. Because of the setup, that guitar is easier to play than any of my others. Consequently it compelled me to have one more built. Thanks for building an outstanding product.

Custom Electric. It is a phenomenal and beautiful instrument 1 day in. The custom inlay and special electronics asks look like they were done at the highest possibly quality. I Have yet to plug in. Jeff is an angel and a wizard. The Halo team is the seal team six of guitar building.

The design is beautiful & the sound is incredible! This was a gift for my father who is an AVID guitar collector/musician and he is over the moon happy & highly impressed with the look & sound of the guitar Halo designed. 5 stars, easy. Beautiful piece to add to the collection.

Ordered a custom baritone length guitar. She is beautiful and the neck is wickedly fast!

I ordered a custom Clarus VI & I am extremely satisfied with how it turned out. It was flawless when I took it out of the case. The only thing I even had to do was tighten 1 screw on The Floyd Rose bridge & fine tune the strings a little more seeing how they were brand new & still had some stretching to do. The paint job was even prettier than I thought it would be.

I'm extremely happy that Halo took the time to do my guitar the right way. They were very transparent & when there was a design flaw from the factory, the Cupertino team took the time to carefully fix it by hand so it was still exactly what I ordered. They didn't cut even 1 corner. This fixing didn't compromise the guitar in any way shape or form. The guitar was immaculate when I got it and it played incredibly. No complaints on any of the major details. Thanks guys.

Just amazing. Quite the example of high luthier craftsmanship... extremely impressed thus far. I was always concerned about the body to neck weight balance - it is exceptional. The neck architecture is outstanding as well - just sublime.

Wide range of option is appreciated (but many of the options must be put onto the remark section). But I have not yet received the guitar by now since I placed the order in Nov 2018. the delivery time keeps being postponed even the estimated times were provided time by time. communications in other sections of the guitar build from scratch are good but it's really painful during the draft of the body shape... Unfortunately the deposit cannot be refunded (this is fair though...) and fortunately I don't have to fully pay for learning a lesson (honestly this lesson is not cheap...) now I rather to save the bucks to hunt a nice and cheap PRS or build a Warmoth (yes I have to admit that Warmoth's options are not really wide and the waiting time is not so short for custom build but should not last over half of a year...)

As a lefty, it is extremely difficult to find an extended range guitar. Especially one as high of quality as this one. I'm impressed with the craftsmanship of this beast. Hopefully, I can post some videos soon.

I love the beauty of the natural-finish Swamp ash wood, the curves, the accessibility of the upper frets, and the touch of the Tung-finished neck. It plays great. I couldn’t ask for a better guitar.

The guitar is absolutely beautiful and is truly a work of art. It sounds amazing and has an amazing tone. I’m overwhelmed by the sheer majesty of the instrument.

I love the way that one sounds and plays. Both pickups together are great too. When I first played it, the neck sounded louder than the bridge pickup, which I expected, and I lowered the neck pickup to compensate, and now it is perfect. The guitar feels great, the weight is perfect, the contours are nice and it feels wonderful in my hands.

Took over 2 years with minimal updates from the company. On one of the multiple times I had to chase them up, I was told they had to start from scratch because of a change in law to do with rosewood and they damaged the body trying to remove some parts. Needless to say I was not impressed that the only reason I found this out was when I was chasing them for an update because they were already 3 months overdue from the last time they had pushed back my order (sounds confusing? Imagine how I felt having to deal with these guys) . I wouldn't recommend Halo. Personally, I felt they were abusing the fact I was ordering from outside the US. Ending on a positive though, when the guitar eventually arrived it was very good.

Custom Shape guitar. Love it. Fit and finish perfect. Quality and consistency of Abalone inlays great. Placement and centering of components accurate. Fret job top notch.
