It is so cool to make your own guitar.
It Brings a lot of inspiration and options

You can build your own guitar and have so many little details, like how many frets to the scale of your fretboard. There are hollowbody versions of many style bodies. And there is a good assortiment of pick-ups.

I love doing this and will buy one soon when I have searched for all the details and kind of woods are cool to combine.

It is pretty expensive for something you can't really see the back and side of.

Also it would be cool if you could have new body styles like SG and have more tremolo styles like Bigsby.

The scale length doesnt change when you click on a diffrent length, so sometimes it looks kinda silly on the picture while in real it would look pretty bad-ass.
Middle pickups arent that many.

It's amazing. Literally the best guitar I've ever played. I actually feel spoiled by it haha. I wish I had a 6 string version of it as well to be honest and I would have no use for any of my other guitars haha.

I love the customization tool. I am able to build *almost* anything that I like, but definitely more than other custom builders allow for.

*Mix and match bodies, necks, hardware; completely customizable
*Fanned Fret option
*Premium Parts

*No angled pickup option in neck, middle, or bridge positions
*Cutaways for 27 fret models do not have all access
*No piezo pickup in the bridge option for floating tremolo
*No option for neck profiles (that I saw)

The visualization is pretty awesome. They look accurate and there are some awesome options.

Advantages: -Cool interface
-Lots of selections
-Good models

Disadvantages: -Add more color options like orange
-Integrate this with the custom guitar builder
-Add an option to make a zebra pattern with any color combo

You can feel the quality right when you pick it up and run your fingers across the frets. The tone difference between the highs and lows is huge in the best way. Playability was easy and the transition was smooth. It felt even more comfortable than a conventional neck. Altogether I have no complaints. A great guitar all around.

Advantages: The new guitars are awesome I've been using them a lot on this tour.

The Merus is a sturdy sleek design that gets the job done. Sometimes simplicity is best and this is my go-to because of that.

Advantages: It has great tone and feels perfect slammed down to the frets. The Seymour Duncan Blackouts complement the baritone and bring out the low end nice.

This is right here, one of the finest guitar customisers out there!

The high amount of bodies, pickups, and electronics.
The quality of the electronics chosen, and the verity is massive.
Very creative.

Lack of the Dimarzio X2N pickup.
Less body choices than I'd like, such as no RR, SG or regular flying V.
No way to build up a guitar straight from scratch.

This website and tool is a whole lot of fun, although there are a few recommendations I have for you all. First, more pickguard options on bass/guitar. Not just colors, but designs. I feel like there are so many options for certain bodies PG wise, and we arent able to view them.
Second, add the option to make ANY body hollow body or semi hollow (guitar and bass).
Overall I enjoy this website and I have "built" many instruments on it. I wish there were ways I could hear what your basses sound like, as there are no reviews that I can find.

Hey. First of all i want to say i've already spend hours with this tool. Being able to create my own costum shop guitar and being able to see the result is great! I also have shown this to many friends and they like it too! I pretty sure that i'm going to order my very personal costum shop guitar in the near future, so you will hear from me! :D
Greets from Vienna, Austria!

The only disadvantage: Add a Backview to the custmization tool, so you can see everything of the guitar.

I love this website and probably visit it at least once a week.

Best graphic guitar customizer I've found online
Simple
Wide variety of hardware and finishes

Suggestions
P90s
More pickguard options eg. Tortoiseshell, pearl finishes
Colour picker
Back and possibly side view
Also, when you tick straplocks, it doesn't show them

I have a dream guitar in mind always, and this really helps me visualize how it may look!

1. Everything makes sense.
2. You can SEE what it looks like!
3. Options, options, and more options!
4. Kahler bridges. I love floyds, but Kahlers feel more natural to me when I play.
5. CARBON FIBER FRETBOARD. Way better than any wood (IMO)

1. Can't see the back of the guitar.
2. Carbon fiber neck? If you have a carbon fiber fretboard, why not just make the whole neck carbon fiber?
3. No Lace Sensor pickups. Alumitones are nice, but what about like the silvers, blues, golds, etc.? They sound better in my opinion.
4. No EMG-89 or 89R. Or the 81TW.
5. No DiMarzio D-Activators for 6 strings
6. No roller nuts or roller saddle bridges.
7. An explorer style body shape would be nice. I love explorers.

I have absolutely fallen in total love with my Halo Seraphim-8. I love its fanned fret/multi-scale design. The guitar arrived in Maryland from California perfectly in tune and intonated; and it was sent during the middle of summer. The way the guitar is set up with its low action and 74-10 gauge strings feels great! The pickups are perfectly voiced for metal, and deliver a concise, clear, and articulate tone even when heavily distorted and/or drop tuned! I usually play in F# standard, but occasionally drop the F# down to E (a la Animals As Leaders), and the Seraphim delivers high quality tone and has met my demands as a player of a variety of genres from jazz to extreme metal! The neck and fretboard feel great, even though I have small hands, I am able to easily access all strings/notes/frets with ease. I really cannot say enough about my adoration for this instrument!

Advantages: Multi-scale/fanned fret design
Great action and intonation
Easy access to all frets
Neck feels great

Disadvantages: Pick-ups may be too hot for some, but can be lowered to make them cooler
Some may not like the non-traditional body shape

Alec on 08/10/2015 Purchased: MERUS - 6 String, 25.5" Scale, Evertune
Awesome guitar! Took it to New York for a week, almost couldn't put it down. EMGs sound great, and the neck is very comfortable.

Advantages: Great features at a great price

Disadvantages: Still need to adjust to the evertune bridge (That's on me, not the guitar)

This is a fantastic tool and one day I'd love and be proud to own a Halo guitar

Lots of different options for styling, woods, binding, hardware

*Add black nickel hardware
*Make all the pickups available for 7/8 string options available for 6 string guitars (Warpigs, Nazgul, X2N, etc)
*Add an Explorer type body shape
*Add an SG type body shape
*Add options for neck radius/shape
*Add natural wood binding options

A very well thought out and easy to use customization considering that few have this simulation.

1. Reduces time and resources
2. You are the master builder
3. Simple and understandable
4. Apllied on all guitars
5. Wide range of pickup selections

1. High retail price
2. Not enough selections for everything
3. Need assistance to create a custom design
4. Too expensive
5. No scrolling for wide selections (bodies, pickups)
6. No free contour options
7. Small wood selections for bodies and necks
8. No staining options
9. Too expensive
10. Doesn't seem custom, more so like picking out options.
11. No viewing options other than top view
12. Small amount of binding options
13. Limited custom graphic help
14. Inlays and bindings limited and none free
15. Limited headstock shapes
16. Limited nut options
17. Limited truss rod covers
18. Limited amount of free bridges
19. Few tuner options
20. Pickgaurd selections limited and none free
21. Small amount of a wide variety of pickups, no signature models e.g. Mick Thomson AHB-3
22. Small selection of controls and placement
23. Small amount of knob selections
24. Three-way toggle switches only, no blade or other options
25. Special options page is limited before assistance
26. No kit options for the DIY person
27. Expensive
28. No one is there to assists directly and in real time
29. No economy guitars
30. Very different than ording from Carvin custom guitars

Everything is great guys. But I think more pickguard options would be nice. Instead of just black and white there should also be like a tort shell option and white and black pearloid options

*** HALO ADMIN RESPONSE: Thanks for the suggestion. We'll consider this for the next update. ***
