Now Customizable: Semi-Hollow Body Halo Guitars

Five semi-hollow body guitar shapes are now available at the Halo Guitar Customization Tool! Scroll down to see some custom designs we came up with. What will you come up with?

To configure your own semi-hollow body Halo guitar, launch the Halo Guitar Customization Tool, load any of the available "PRESETS", click on "BODY", click on "SHAPE", then scroll to find the semi-hollow body shape of your choice and start designing!

QUESTION: Why Semi-Hollow?

ANSWER: Because they offer a unique sound and feel that no other construction method can deliver. Guitar players love the remarkably warm tone of semi-hollow body guitars and often describe them as having good resonance, rich and complex overtones, and a woody sound. Semi-hollow body guitars are relatively light weight guitars (compared to solid body guitars) due to the hollowed out areas of the guitar body. Another benefit to semi-hollow body guitar design is the increased acoustic volume of the guitar itself. The increased acoustic volume makes it easier for you to hear what you're playing when not plugged in to an amplifier. Semi-hollow body Halo guitars are ideal for certain music styles, such as jazz and rockabilly. They are not ideal for high-gain amp settings because they tend to produce unwanted feedback under those conditions.

With the semi-hollowbodies, does the back of the guitar retain a control cavity like with solidbodies? I hope so, as it makes service/changing pickups a lot easier. Thanks!

We're glad to build it with a control cavity on the back upon request, but we normally keep the backs in tact and route the pots and wires through the F-Hole.

im seriously considering on of the covenant semihollows .. but that f hole ( tele style) is butt ugly can you add a more normal looking f hole or can i request one? similar to your es style model? and it would be nice if i could get them on both sides..
